2. Files installation
PLEASE NOTE THAT IMA CAN BE ALSO USED REMOTELY ON OUR SERVERS. THIS MEANS NO INSTALLATION WOULD BE REQUIRED. FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT info@new-object.com

IMA is supplied as a ZIP file which includes all the files needed for a complete installation.

IMA is a NON INVASIVE application and it does not modify the Windows Registry.

Unzip the IMA zip files in a temp directory

Copy the following directories to your web root

/firsttest (with external user access permission)

/webform (with r/w permissions for the cgi program for this directory and all its sub-directories.)

/wsp (with r/w permissions for the cgi program for this directory and all its sub-directories.)

/cgi (copy all the IMA CGI files to your CGI directory)

3. Configuration
Open the ima.cfg file (located in the cgi-bin directory) using a text editor.

Change the configuration parameters in this file to fit your server parameters (instructions on these changes are mentioned in the file itself).

4. Installation Test
Use your web navigator to access the following URL:
http://<your webroot>/firsttest/default.htm

From the drop-down menu select "basic test" then press the "submit query" button.
If the resulting page is invalid (e.g. - cgi error), then ima has not been installed correctly.

Again, use your web navigator to access the following URL:
http://<your webroot>/firsttest/default.htm

From the drop-down menu select "full test" then press the "submit query" button.
At the bottom of the resulting page the following text should apear :

Test for file : c:/Inetpub/wwwroot//wsp/DataDir/wf_debug_file.tmp
Test open file for write: ok
Test write: ok
Test open file for read: ok
Test read: ok
Test delete file: ok

If any of the above results is not OK, then check

  • If ima.exe does not have read/write permissions to the /wsp directory and its subdirectories.

  • If the cgi-bin/ima.cfg has been correctly configured

5. Running the IMA Program

From your web browser access the following URL:

http://<your webroot>/cgi-bin/ima.exe?ima=ima1_db&
